15/04/2025 Good rubber, but terrible topsheet durability Review by Jude Lam
Quality
I have been playing with this rubber for four weeks. First off, I pair it with the Donic Original True Carbon Inner blade and this is a great pairing. For this rubber, the top sheet is softer and this makes looping extremely easy even though the sponge is 52.5 degree hard. This rubber does many things well, such as serves is spiny, blocking is a breeze, smashing is not exactly strong due to the hard sponge but it works much better than any Chinese rubbers in this department. But the strength of this rubber is in the Looping and counter looping. Since this rubber does not react to incoming spin much, you can just counter swing the ball and the ball will just land during a rally. If you open the shot with a spiny high arc loop, that ball can be loaded with spin and you can follow up with a kill drive shot.

However, with all of these positive attributes, there is one big bad issue and that is its durability. The top sheet literally will show signs of ball dents and wear after just 9 hours of playing time. This is the worst of all the rubbers that I have tried in the past when it comes to showing signs of wear. If Tibhar can improve in this department and make a K4 rubber, I will be all for it. But for now, I am hesitated to stick with it because it is costly and worn out way too fast.

Granted, even if the rubber top sheet shows signs of wear, it is still playing ok. But the bite on the ball is lesser and you have to adjust your racket angle to compensate a bit. If the topsheet is more durable, I will put down Excellent rating. Tibhar, I am looking to you to improve this!

I'd rather use the K3 FX instead but hybrid K3 is also good....
High level of control and speed.... However my rubber of choice for 2024-2025 is still gewo codexx EL pro 52... That's the best hybrid in my opinion.
01/03/2025 Tibhar Hybrid 'K. Range Review by Alan Burgess
Quality
A very good rubber throughout the whole range although the price is becoming a little restrictive. Only time will tell as to whether it retains it's qualities after a few months of weekly play. Repeat orders are a very good judge of these rubbers.

It's my first time using it, and I love it. It really helped me leveling up my game especially in counter attacking my opponent's topspin attack.
14/02/2025 Best Rubber you can find Review by Lee CS

I’ve been using Hybrid K3 in my forehand for a year. Excellent for opening loop, drive and flick. Durability is about 4 months, playing/training 15-18 hours weekly.

Will continue using it.
11/02/2025 I like it Review by Anatoly Levinshtein
Quality
I looked for some rubber with good spin, not fast and with a lot of control. I tried ELP and FXP of Tibhar, but it was too fast on my Apolonia ZLC. K3 works with Apolonia very well for me (FH side), it's the second K3 I ordered, and I'm going to continue using it.
Durability: after the first week when it's really hard, I played 4-5 months of 10-15 hours weekly and it saved its capabilities.
Spin: I feel it has very good spin, a lot of players told me that they could not return the backspin of the service.

29/01/2025 Rubber for advanced players Review by T Serghei

Everybody is now about hard rubbers, fast blades and so on. These types of equipment requires good technique and correct strokes. The rubber is a very good one, my trainer is absolutely smashing his opponents but it's too hard for me. It requires harder strokes and good timing which requires more energy and preparation.

Зацеп у накладки отличный, скорость средняя. Живучесть накладки слабоватая. Под пальцем резина быстро стирается настолько, что там зацепа вообще нет. Отсюда делаю вывод, что живучесть накладки на 3.

29/08/2024 Grippy but does it last? Review by Keith Morris
Quality
Am an intermediate Not advanced player. Been through two sets of K3 2mm on my Viscaria. Wonderful bite and grip and so spin. Good sense of control. Cannot work out if they are as short lasting as reports suggest or is it in my head. Just get feeling that there is a fairly sudden drop off where the surface still feels grippy but ball no longer held in the sponge so a pretty subjective view. It’s a really exciting rubber to use but I am going to try RasanterR48 instead this time round. I think it’s really worth a try.

07/08/2024 Хорошая накладка Review by Alexey Bodrug

Review by Anatoliy Krasheninnikov

13/05/2024 maybe not for BH Review by Marcos Guglielmetti
Quality
One of the standout aspects of the K3 is its unique hybrid construction, which combines a slightly sticky topsheet with a highly boosted hard sponge. This combination provides an excellent balance of grip and speed, allowing me to generate massive amounts of spin without sacrificing control or power.
The level of spin I can produce with the K3 is truly remarkable. Whether I'm executing blistering topspin loops or precisely placed serves, the rubber delivers an exceptional spin potential that leaves my opponents scrambling. The slightly tacky topsheet grips the ball just enough to impart that extra bit of rotation, while the hard sponge ensures that the ball maintains its pace and penetration.
But spin alone doesn't make a great rubber – control is equally crucial, and the K3 excels in this department as well. Despite its speed, I can still maintain a high level of precision and placement, thanks to the rubber's excellent feedback and dwell time. This control has been invaluable in my short game, allowing me to execute delicate touches and precise blocks with ease.
Looking at the customer reviews, it's clear that other players have also recognized the exceptional qualities of the K3. Michael D's review highlights the rubber's versatility, praising its performance in various situations, from looping to blocking and chopping. Koichi Hara's review further reinforces the K3's superiority, stating that it outperforms even top-tier rubbers from brands like Butterfly and DHS in terms of combined spin, speed, and control.
One aspect that particularly resonates with me is Paul Nguyen's review, where he mentions the rubber's ability to generate massive power without the need for excessive swing speed. This characteristic has been invaluable in my game, allowing me to maintain control while still unleashing powerful shots that catch my opponents off guard.
While it may require some adjustment period, particularly for those transitioning from softer rubbers, the rewards are well worth the effort. If you're looking for a rubber that can take your game to the next level, the K3 is an absolute must-try.

This is the European answer to Hurricane 3. Very sticky and durable rubber which I used under many different situations. Looping is excellent, along with blocking both close and further back from the table. Chopping is great. It gives you some extra spin on the serves. Flatter hitting like smashes is more of a challenge, not that good for that particular stroke but manageable.

The rubber is hard, so all the movements should be precise. The spin and control is great.

19/02/2024 Genuinely, the best forehand rubber I've ever tried Review by Koichi Hara
Quality
First off, as reference, I've tried countless different rubbers from butterfly (tenergy 05, 80,64, 19 & dignics 05, 09c to name the most relevant ones) and some variations of Hurricane 3 Neo by DHS.
However, none of them get close to what the K3 can produce in combined spin, speed & control. The K3 is quite a bit tackler than a D09 but has more penetrating power when hitting hard. (Possibly a boosted d09c could have similar speed, haven't tried)
In comparison to Hurricane 3 Neo the K3 has similar spin without the lack of speed. I've boosted my Chinese rubbers but mostly with different and incinsistent results. This is where the K3 comes in. The rubber is the perfect blend between control when playing passive and having a high quality spinny and powerful shot. And especially without the hassle of having to tinker with your rubbers. Just put them on and you're good to go.

Another thing to note is that the bounce off the rubber is a bit different from regular ESN rubbers but it's easy to get used to. In the long run I believe it will make everyone who uses it a better player.
09/02/2024 gotta love it Review by Paul Nguyen
Quality
Recreational player. I played with chinese rubbers up and tried other rubbers that are below $55 and kept going back to the chinese rubbers. mostly H3 and H8. Then I saw that some top pros were using K3 and the price was right, so I tried it. Have it on both sides. Immediately my flat smashing percentage shot up noticeably. So much better than H3 for that. I think it's because K3 is fast and I don't have to swing so hard to get the pace, and hence the swing is more controlled. Then after a couple months of playing, I was able to apply massive TS with it, and easily. My friend who tried K3 said he couldn't loop/spin with it even after months of use - I think you have to have the technique to use it. But this thing really works for me. It does everything that H3 does in terms of spin and control, and at the same time it is consistently FAST and easily generates power. With H3 I had to hit a perfect shot to get the pace.

11/01/2024 Good Hybrid, some drawbacks Review by icontek
Quality
For those looking for more speed on drives compared to K1, this rubber offers the ability to still produce power when the opponent attacks your elbow and you are too jammed to take a full stroke. Downsides of this rubber are that it flat hits poorly and erratic shots result. However, topspin attacks are a dream, low trajectory FH rubber that reminds me of H2 with the 38mm ball. Good for service, short game. Liked this rubber better on a 5 ply ALL wood, was not spinning enough on an inner carbon style blade. Replaced this with Sieger Pk50 which is similar, but lighter, better at flat hitting, more forgiving and more suitable to my intermediate level.

06/12/2023 Very fast rubber, pretty good spin Review by Robby Green
Quality
I tried this rubber on my backhand with my penhold setup and it was too fast for me. I think I will keep it on my forehand with my handshake grip setup -- it's good at creating lots of spin with low effort. However, if you put in the effort you can get much more spin out of tacky Chinese rubbers.

Counterspin is good. I think that is the main thing I like about this rubber. The throw angle is very high and I don't like that.

07/09/2023 I think it is an exelent rubber. Review by Tauri
Quality
Very stable rubber I like it a lot, ever since I started using this rubber my backhand got a lot better. It has almost everything: it is good in touch, plays far from the table, close to the table.
The only problem is that it doesn't have the same feel as softer rubbers and I personally boost it with one layer because it helps with feeling and to win out right points more because it's faster then.

31/07/2023 Fast loop drives. Accurate and rewards good strokes Review by MATTHEW WILLIAMS

Like classic H2 with 38mm balll; but a lot easier to use. Have to loop drive or brush.
Long, low trajectory, still requires good strokes to use well; tough to produce power if out of position.
A looping rubber that may confuse you if you play the face too open and try and flat hit.

I'm playing with K3 for over 1.5 years now and I want to update my review a little bit. I owned 6 sheets of k3 so far. First two were used on FH, then started using on both FH and BH.
It is still good rubber and I'm going to continue using it for a while. But I realized one thing that bothers me in it: all 6 sheets were different.
First one was very hard or became very hard very fast
Second one was ideal :)
Then with third and fourth ball had tendency to drop a little bit more and it was harder to lift backspin balls with a loop (or at least do it fast)
Fifth and especially sixth smells more and were noticeably faster at the start than all others before.
I have no idea why this happens and I can adjust to those changes after 1-2 training sessions, but I just don't like this side and I wish it didn't behave like this

15/05/2023 Perfect cost/benefit ratio Review by Gustavo Novo

The K3 is a very different rubber than what I was used to using. I was a fan of hard, tensioned rubbers like MXP.
The K3 is more viscous and apparently slower before you hit the ball.
On the table, however, I felt a very interesting performance, with good speed, great control and an ability to produce spin that impressed me.
I still confess that I am in a testing phase, but it is very promising for what it delivers and in terms of cost-effectiveness.

Comparing to DragonGrip this rubber has good spin, good power and control. The only thing that I wish for would be a slightly higher throw angle. Otherwise it's a good rubber. I've used it on FH and BH. It is good for flipping with good grip on soft balls. On FH it has good power and can keep up with heavy loops.

08/02/2022 One of the best hybrids Review by vadim putilovsky
Quality
Slightly tacky! Very good on flexible blades like a violin! Very tricky for your opponent in the short games, chops, flicks, etc. Loops and serves 5+! Flat hits - only problem, need to adjust, maybe cause of max 2,3 rubber dunno! Very good rubber for pro and semi-pro.
18/01/2022 Decent Review by JT

Definitely NOT for me even though I love Chinese-style rubbers. Not as tacky as I would like it to be and the tacky seems to go away fast and attracted lots of dust (too high maintenance for me)
27/12/2021 - Review by David Saria
Quality

20/12/2021 Very good but not for everyone Review by Sergei Kravtsov
Quality
The description says "very sticky topsheet", but it is not, it is slightly sticky, sometimes lifting a ball for less than 1 cm, but occasionally somewhat higher. So it is more like hard European rubber with a good spin potential rather than sticky Chinese ones.
Somewhat slower than MX-P and MX-D, but gives you easier short game, less reaction on the opponent spin, more of an own spin, better serves, better flicks, better handling of opponents speed, very nice counter looping closer to the table, better play against pips-out rubbers
At first (3-4 training sessions) I was a little bit disappointed in it due to lower speed, but control was incredible. Then I was extremely happy with it because of increased speed and very good spin (3-4 training sessions). And then spin slightly reduced and it settled to something more stable. I was slightly disappointed after that, but after playing in a local club tournament, I guess I'll stick with it for the next year or more.
Another disadvantage is that it is rather hard rubber and requires good physical conditions.
P.S. Using it on TB ALC on my FH for 7 weeks now
